NOT the entire home – a portion of the lower level of the home only – 3-night min. stay. Includes 3 large bedrooms on the walk-out level of a large rural home. Large windows, closets, dressers & desks. TV/lounge, pool table, infra-red sauna for guest private use, a mini-kitchen with a full-sized fridge. (no stove) It has a microwave, a variety of small appliances. Satellite TV, Wifi . 25 minutes to NW Calgary or NE Cochrane. Private and self-contained. Fully furnished.
The Space
This is a rural location with plenty of wild-life, great mountain views. We often have deer or moose in the yard but also see coyotes, red foxes, porcupines, owls, and eagles. Very quiet with brilliant star-lite nights. Great place for groups or families who are self-sufficient who require a warm, comfortable atmosphere. House-keeping is not provided guests are expected to keep areas tidy. Laundry in suite.
Guest access
The entire lower level is for guest’s use. There is also an unheated chapel in the trees and a huge deck off the back of the home that guests can use with advance notice. It has a stone fireplace and a great view.
Neighborhood overview
25 minutes NW of Calgary or NE of Cochrane, 1 hr and 15m to Canmore/Banff, or 1 hr 30 minutes to Drumheller. This is a rural location! NOT in or near a town. The closest town is Dogpound. Schools are Westbrook and Cochrane High, the school buses come to the gate.
Getting around
Must have your own vehicle as there is no public transportation to this rural location. Plenty of parking.
Other things to note
Owners live in the remainder of the house please respect our privacy and need for quiet. Quiet time starts at 10 PM. The owner quietly works from home. You can access the backyard through the patio doors in your living area but please keep that door locked when you are not here. Depart through the main entry. There is a coded door lock for ease of coming and going. Thanks very much for reading.
